Gunther’s Escape is a painting showcasing the act of waking up and escaping negativity that you’ve grown to be comfortable with. When you have this personal awakening, you see the beauty that was there all along, you feel the happiness and the ethereal feeling of it all. You realize that the reality of the thick fog covering this feeling was not the reality that was meant for you. This is a painting about positive change and the gratitude that comes along with it. 

Gunther is a small robot, he was fighting in the battle against the Northern Fairylands (also known as the Northern Fairylands Robot Disaster). His specific programming was to fight off the fairies and capture all of the talking flowers. His partner- a robot gone rogue- was infected by some of the talking flowers venom, causing the doomed robot to harm Gunther, leaving him with a missing arm and a broken personality circuit. Gunther escaped as fast as he could, he didn’t know what was going on or why he was there in the first place, it’s like he woke up after a long sleep. After hours of wandering lost and directionless, Gunther found himself amongst the endangered Fairylands species of the Flutterfly. 

Gunther stays here for a while, enjoying the beauty of this new environment and his newfound feelings of empathy.
